Sammy Sighs
Hi!! It is me, Sammy. You'd think Mom would let me post since she has been so very neglectful. Geezers! I haven't got to post for a long time!
So, when Mom is at work, I nicely hide in her closet all day. Safe and sound. But look what Sissy does? She is such a silly sissy.

Remember me? Sammy?
I have been under the weather...not really sick, but Mom noticed I haven't been myself..kinda sluggish, dry nose, weight gain, thinning hair, etc. So, Dr. Colleen ran some tests and found out I have a low thyroid.I am now taking medicine and Mom thinks I seem like a whole new guy already!
Sunday, Brooklyn and Mom took us to the Dog Park. We had a great walk and then had fun playing at the Dog Park. I even ran and played! Mom was so happy!
We had a really good time. It was a great Sunday!

Sammy Sighs....
Mom seems to have forgotten what a great blogger I am. She certainly hasn't been keeping up. I am doing pretty good. A couple weeks ago, we had a near perfect day....Mom and Dad took us for a ride in the car...
I LOVE riding in the car, I sit right on mom's lap and just watch everything. I don't like to stick my head out the window because of a near accident when I stepped on the automatic window and it rolled up and scared me and mom a lot a while back. She thought I was going to hang myself!
I have to look at mom and see what Sissy is up to once in a while too.
Sissy doesn't know about those windows that can roll up and nearly strangle you, so she sticks her head out of the window.
She just doesn't understand, she loves sticking her head out.
After the drive, we went on a walk and to the dog park. Since then, we have been back to the dog park a couple times. But, I usually stick close to Mom there, just to protect her. It has nothing to do with me being shy and I am NOT afraid of other dogs, so there.

Sammy Sighs...
I have been having fun going on walks because Dad has been going with us, and he walks me on my own leash, and Mom walks Silly Sissy. I am so glad because Silly Sissy is so annoying to walk with. I walk so nicely right along the path and look so proud. She still jumps around like a jitterbug because she is so happy. And, she looks stupid because she has to wear a dress ... when she doesn't she chews her hair out on her side and looks dumb with a bald spot. Mom said it's because she has anxiety when we are home alone during work days. Silly Sissy should be like me and go hide in the closet all day. That is much better then chewing out your own hair...duh!
We had Brooklyn here for three weeks, and we had a lot of fun going to the dog park and other fun things. Here are a couple pictures from the dog park. You can see our new friend, Lucy (a great Dane!) I miss him and look for him in his room still.

You can see more pictures in the online album.
Good news, I get a new cousin doggie soon...I can't wait! The bad thing is it's another silly girl, but that's ok, because that makes me the man of the family, right? I hope we meet and become really good friends. I'll probably have to teach the new puppy all kinds of things. Mom is trying to help think of a good name for the little dog, but Aunt Jo doesn't like any of her suggestions! Mom wants it to be a "S" name so the puppy ( a little black lab) will fit in with Sissy, me and Sophie (and our beloved Shelby).
Well, have a dog-gone good day! Take care and I hope to talk to you soon!

Wow, I jumped into this big drift today and almost got buried in snow! Here is a picture of Sissy looking where I jumped, and me down with my volley/soccer ball. It isn't very clear, but I hope you can see us! Silly Sissy has on a stupid coat, but I am so "stud"-ly that I don't need one.

Have a good day!

Have a good day!

I am humiliated. I am embarrassed. I am hiding from everyone. It is so awful.
If you need me, just try to find me.....

I have been doing ok. Sissy and I got to spend the night and day at Grandma and Grandpa's house a couple weekends ago while Mom and Dad went to Denver to visit Allison. It was really nice of Grandma and Grandpa to let us stay and I was especially good. Sissy was naughty. (0f course) She chewed out some hair and that worried my Grandma and Grandpa. But, I tried to tell them she just does that. Silly Sissy just has issues. She also bit at my feet when we would run in the big yard outside and she was mean and didn't want me to sit with them, she was being selfish. Silly Sissy. But, we had a nice time and I was really glad we got to stay there with family instead of having to stay with strangers at a kennel where you don't get to sit on laps and all that other good stuff. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
We went for a ride in the car the other day, and I was enjoying putting my head out the window when it rolled up and almost strangled me to death. I started screaming in my doggie voice. Mom started yelling at Dad because she thought he was rolling up the window! She was in a panic. Uh, oh...it was all my fault ... I stepped on the button myself and rolled up the window. I must really learn to be more careful. I did escape injury free at least!
Well, hope you are having a good day! I have missed writing on here! Love, Sammy. (the stud)

Hi. It's me...Sammy

I wanted to tell you about my super fun weekend. Well, it was mostly fun. On Saturday I was hanging out with Mom on the front porch waiting for Dad to come home.... don't I just look pitifully sad?
On Sunday, though, Mom went on a bike ride. I was pretty worried about that, hoping she is not going to have any more accidents this year.
Well, anyway, when she got home, she said "let's go to the dog park". I didn't know what she meant, but it sound pretty exciting. She put on our harnesses
and off we went walking. After about a mile, we "arrived". Our dog park hasn't been open very long, and this is the first time we have visited it. You go through this gate area and then you are IN! It is big and wonderful, and Sissy and I had a really good time. We made lots of new friends, and Mom was really proud of us because we were everly so friendly to the other pooches and their famblies. I even jumped up on one doggies' owner's lap just to say hi and make sure he knew I was nice and could get along with everyone. There were lots of dogs there and mom went a little nuts taking pictures.
You can see them all here: Dog Park - September 2009 Be sure and read the captions, so you know what she saw. I was so busy running around and making friends it was hard for her to get some photos!! Sissy and I ran back near Mom a lot to just reassure her in case she was nervous about meeting everyone. It wasn't because we were nervous at first at all...really, honest!
There is som
e fun playground equipment there too, I jumped over the one low hurdle a couple times just to show mom I could do it, and both Sissy and I went through the plastic tunnel. I think Freddie was the best friend we made. I am putting his picture on here. But, I hope you look at all of them on the link above, because we made lots of fun furry friends.
When we got home, Mom gave us both baths and then we took naps because we were so tired from all our running around. Then, we got to share a dish of ice cream. Pretty much this was a perfect dog day.
Thanks, Mom!

I miss Brooklyn being here. I slept with my little buddy a lot this summer. And, he liked to give us treats a lot. And lots of belly rubs, too. Plus, if we went on walks, he'd walk me on my own leash. Now, Mom puts me and Sissy back on the coupler leash together...again. At least she hasn't made us dress up in any cutesy clothes or anything.
Mom even gave us both baths last night. I was not happy about that, but I was nice about it. Silly Sissy gets all riled up. But, that's just her. Then, today Mom cut some hair around my eyes because we can't go to the groomers for a while yet...
so, it's kinda back to normal around here. This weekend I could tell Mom was feeling kinda lonely.
After our walk today, Mom decided to go out on a bike ride. She had a little mishap and has some scratches, scrapes, bruises, bumps and even 2 chipped teeth! She'll update you on this tomorrow. She is sure a klutz.
Well, I better go run outside and bark...I think someone walked by. Signing off, Sammy

It has been raining for days and days it seems. Mom is tired of the rain because we can't go on walks, she can't go on bike rides and Brooklyn can't go swimming.
I don't like it all that much either. Everytime Sissy and I need to go out to do our business we get wet. Sissy is especially hating it and sometimes Mom or Dad has to go out and stand in the rain and make sure she does what she is supposed to. Of course, I do what I need to like the good doggie that I am. Sissy is just silly.
I hope the sun comes out soon!

Mom caught me in the act. She's been noticing lately that her pillows on the bed are not where she left them when she gets home from work. She makes the bed first thing every day, and then comes home and its all a-mess! Today, I got caught in the act!

As you read this, we should be on the road to visit Sophie and Ruger. Well, also Tina and Adam. I am really excited that I get to go and don't have to be left behind. I just hope Sissy behaves in the car. Mom said it is going to be a long drive! She made us take baths and all that jazz too on Thursday night. I don't understand that, I thought we were going to wild, wonderful Wyoming. She said if we were going in the car we needed a bath. And she was telling us how we have to mind our manners and all that jazz too. Geez. And, then she was cleaning house and taking out trash and all kinds of stuff. That didn't make any sense, no one will even be here? I don't understand Mom at alll
Oh, well....we are excited to go see where Sophie moved to and see all the sights. I think we will have fun.

Mom went off on another road trip. I had to stay home and take care of Sissy and Dad. She is only gone for Tuesday night and Wednesday day to go learn more computer stuff. She should be getting smart enough someday.

Mom finally gave in and got out my volleyball. I love, love, love my ball! It was nice and warm out this weekend. Today (Sunday) was more windy than yesterday. But, it was still sunny as you can see by my picture.
I play "volley-soccer" with my ball:
I even gave in and let Sissy play some, because she misses playing with Sophie so much:
It was really fun, but Mom ended up putting the ball away because we were getting so tired and didn't want to quit playing.
Then, she made us take a dumb bath. But, anyway, I didn't care, because I had ever so much fun today. Then she put on my shiny blue tag on my collar that I got from Dr. Colleen the other day. I do feel proud to wear my collar, and really think my new tag is awesome. I just don't like wearing shirts, as you know. Mom has been taking me and Sissy on walks a lot now, too, since the weather has been nice. She made the walk longer, so we get pretty tired by the time we got home.
Here is a couple more "spring" pictures. I told Mom that the garage sure looks ratty and needs painted! Anyway, happy spring...for now...I know there's still some winter yet to be had, but this was great!
I played with Sissy (Mom can't wait for "green" grass!)Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Mom is not feeling very good today, so I am taking care of her. I can really help with my doggie kisses and cuddling. We got some snow on the ground today, so I dove off the porch head first and just ran as fast as I could. It's fluffy white snow. It's kinda cold out, especially compared to the warm days we just had. Well, back to taking care of mom....

Sammy Sighs-a Follow Up
Our visit to see Dr. Colleen went pretty good. I traveled in the car really great, and yep, Mental Pause Mama, Mom did ok starting the car! Hee Hee! This is a picture of me in the car.

Silly Sissy isn't such a good traveler, but Sophie loves to ride in the car! We all did pretty good. Guess what! Dr. Colleen found that I lost a little weight and that I am very "muscular". See, I told you I am buff! Whew!

We are off today to see Dr. Colleen. Mom said that I need some shots and Silly Sissy needs one shot. I probably get more because I'm so tuff. I just hope Dr. Collen doesn't say anything about my weight. I'm not fat. I'm not. I'm just right. And, Silly Sissy doesn't travel good in the car like I do. So, that'll be really annoying.
I guess Sophie and Tina are going too, so Sophie will be all set before her big move this weekend. Mom said maybe even Crystal will ride along. That's good, then I can sit with Crystal and not be bothered with Spazzy Silly Sissy in the car.

Anyway, Silly Sissy is just in heaven having Miss Sophie here because they are the bestest friends ever. I told Sissy last night I was going to name her Snoopy Sissy because she keeps going in their "room" and snooping around. Silly Sneaky Snoopy Sissy. That's her.
Last night Sophie and Tina went to bed and Sissy sat at the door crying... Sniffly Sissy.
Then, Dad told Sophie that she didn't need to move, she could just stay and live here wih us. Um....HEELLLLOOOO......EXCUSE me, no one asked my opinon and all I need is another silly girl around here. I have a hard enough time as it is. Not really, I do love Sophie, but I pretend not to. But, I also know she will be moving, no chance of me having to live with two girls anyway.
Today Mom and Tina took all of us out for a walk. I pretended to not want to go, but it was fun, and I showed those silly girls how it should be done. I walked real nice while they did their jumping bean walk and rabbit jumps. I did get in a bit of trouble for barking at two kids. I dont' think I should get in trouble because I was just protecting everyone! Geez.
But, anyway, I just wanted to tell you all my thoughts. Have a good day!
Love, Solemn Sammy
