I just do...
I am in Kearney today...drove up last night thru hail, wind, pouring rain and tornado watches. I had to pull over a couple times, but I was not the only "wussy" on the road--others pulled off too! Better safe than sorry!
I didn't even bring my tom-tom this time. Yea, I have been here enough times I shouldn't need it, but it is my security blanket, I guess! But, I did fine, venturing out a bit last night (and getting soaked as well!) Made it to the meeting on time this morning, which seemed to start EARLY!!, and even got my fav coffee drink on the way. I didn't go down for breakfast this morning here at the motel, as I just did not sleep hardly at all. It was a big rainstorm for quite a while, and I just couldn't seem to sleep...maybe because I had been thinking how I was going to have the evening to myself to relax, go to bed early, and rest up? So, better not PLAN to rest, that just doesn't work out, huh?
It is more fun to travel with my friend, but hey, I can be a big girl and do things on my own, too, now, which is an accomplishment in it's own for me...ha!
My brain is tired because the workshop was so awesome and great and wonderful and I learned more than it had room for!
I was worried I would regret coming during this super busy time at work, but I sure don't regret it one bit so far! Another big day tomorrow, so I'll have a lot to think about on my drive home!
