You may recall this fall/winter when I was all into getting up early and going to an early morning exercise class at the Y. I liked it. And, I'd go work out at the Y some early mornings as well. But, the class ended, and the one that took it's place was not my cup of tea. So, I quit my early mornings. Why? I don't know. I justified it because I do have exercise class after work three nights a week, and I walk, etc. The main thing is, I just don't like mornings. Never have.
Well, hubby decided he would get up early and start back into his old running program...so he has been easing into that. Then on off days, he may do something else. So, this morning, after many mornings of my rolling over and then just laying there listening to the radio blast for one hour, feeling a tiny bit guilty for not getting up and my excuses, he said, come on, get up. So, we went and rode bikes for about 45 minutes. It was good.
The early morning air was wonderful, there were happy people out walking, running and biking who all seemed to say "good morning", and it just felt good. One day down...in a few days I will be back into the habit. So, good for him for "encouraging" me (forcing me) to get up! :-)
Besides, after seeing myself in photos from a wedding we recently attended, where I looked like a big fat black and white cow, I think increasing my exercise will be good. I haven't changed sizes in a few months, but I need to go down more. WAY WAY more.
